Husqvarna Designer 1. The thread wrapped around a take-up link pushed the take-up lever against the presser bar preventing it from lifting up.
Very good simple late 80's Janome.
I don't often see these School Mate sewing machines. Easy to use, great stitch quality.
Retro Brother, Funky Colour
Love the colour of this 70's Brother Pacesetter!
Husqvarna Designer II motor running on.
The hook seized due to thread getting wrapped underneath it. This caused the timing belt to work its way off the lower shaft pulley. The position sensor on the lower shaft stopped turning. Therefore the computer could not initialize. The motor kept running as the computer waited for the signal that needle stop up had been reached.
Seized buttonholer dial Bernina 830 Record
Front panel removed to enable punching out buttonholer dial shaft for cleaning. The buttonhole dial was seized.
Pfaff 360 and 362
These two machines came in around the same time from different owners. They were quite a challenge to get working properly. Thanks to austinado 16 whose video Pfaff 260 262 332 360 362 Zig Zag Repair on You Tube was a huge help!
Rare Bernina model
This machine came in to my friend Wei Hin in Vancouver. www.eurotechsewrepair.ca
This is the first time I have seen this model. 1960's vintage.
Pfaff 2020 intermittent power.
Bernina 910 sticky clutch
The machine could not wind a bobbin. The internals of the clutch needed a good cleaning.
Necchi Silvia
Necchi Silvia
Italian stylish design from the 70's. I rarely see these machines. The handwheel is lower down and I end up selecting stitches by mistake when I mean to turn the handwheel. The buttonholer is one of the earliest six step variants. Both beads are sewn in the same direction giving a nice balanced look.
